Step 3: Solve Problems Creatively
Once you begin to quiet down your mind, you'll be feeling much more peaceful
and confident in your ability to cope with cancer. Next, you'll want to ask
yourself what is the most important issue or problem you want to begin to solve?
Now that the garden of your mind is weeded, it's time to plant some new seeds.
Begin to picture yourself the way you want to be. If you're having problems with
a friend or family member, see them in your imagination and picture everything
smoothing out. You can use this same Mental Rehearsal technique that Olympic
Athletes use to perfect their sport.
Step 3 helps show you where you need to focus your attention. If you're about
to have surgery, rather than worrying about it, picture yourself coming out of
surgery feeling strong, whole and comfortable.
